Permission
You can only conduct commercial filming or photography with prior permission from the operator Serco Docklands. This is regardless of subject matter, equipment to be used or size of crew.
Costs
Our filming/photography location fee is £250, plus VAT, per hour. You must pay us in full before you can start filming.
A minimum booking of 2 hours for each session is required. After that, charges will be made on a sliding scale basis dependent on the number of crew and cast involved.
We can usually arrange filming and photography for any day of the week dependent on the size of your crew and the facilities required.
Some busier stations may not be available during peak periods. However weekends are more flexible and filming can usually be done at any time of the day.
Insurance required
All bookings must be supported by a copy of your:
- Public Liability Insurance up to £5 million
- Method Statement
- Risk Assessment
Bookings are not confirmed until a contract has been agreed and signed by all parties.
Notice period
We require a minimum of four weeks notice to agree and set up an average sized filming or photography shoot. In many circumstances this time can be reduced depending on your requirements.
Supervision
Supervision from Serco Docklands staff will be necessary in most circumstances. We can also provide additional crowd control staff.
All members of your party will be required to receive a safety briefing before commencing work on DLR.
Restrictions
Serco Docklands may refuse any filming or photography which involves:
- Vandalism or graffiti
- Ticket touting Assaults on passengers or staff
- Fare evasion
- Use of Firearms or other weapons
- Any unsafe behaviour
- Unlicensed busking
- Begging Smoking or use of illegal drugs
