If you pay the charge on the day of travel you pay £8.

You can pay up to 90 days in advance for travel within the charging zone. You can purchase a monthly or annual charge at a discounted rate. You can also claim refunds in certain circumstances.

Not all drivers have to pay the Congestion Charge. There are a range of discounts and exemptions available to certain categories of drivers or vehicles.

By midnight on the day of travel (£8 daily charge)

You can pay before or after the journey on the day of travel

By midnight the following charging day (£10 charge)

You can only pay this charge via the website or the call centre. If you travel on a Friday you have until midnight on the following charging day to pay.

Important note: If you fail to pay the charge by midnight on the following charging day you will be issued with a Penalty Charge Notice.

Discounted monthly and annual charge

You can purchase a monthly charge ie 20 consecutive charging days for £136 and you will save £24 (the equivalent of three free days).

You can purchase an annual charge ie 252 consecutive charging days for £1696 and save £320 (the equivalent of 40 free days).

Fleet vehicles

Fleet vehicles pay a £7 daily charge if registered on Fleet Auto Pay.
