The Big TfL Giveaway May 2024

Terms and conditions

The Promoter of The Big TfL Giveaway ("the Competition") is Transport for London, 5 Endeavour Square, London E20 1JN. Entry is only open to UK residents aged 18 or over excluding employees of Transport for London, or any of their subsidiaries advisers, agents and/or anyone connected with the organisation of this promotion. [If you are using your work computer you may need to obtain your employer's permission prior to entering.] [The winner[s] will need to be able to provide proof of identity and age [with picture].]

The Competition begins on Monday 13 May at 9:00am ("the Opening Date") and ends on Monday 20 May at 12:00pm ("the Closing Date"). Entries to the Competition must be submitted before the Closing Date.

In order to enter, you must submit a comment and follow Transport for London on Instagram and it must be your original work.

To enter, you must visit our Instagram page and comment on the competition post and follow the TfL page. Any entry which is incomplete or submitted through an alternative method will be rejected.

Transport for London is not responsible for late, lost or delayed entries or network, computer hardware or software failures of any kind that may delay or restrict entry into the competition.

Unlimited entries per person.

Two winners will receive a bundle of prizes each. Each bundle includes 1 x Brio set, 1 x Murder of the Underground game from University Games, 1 x All On The Board Your Daily Companion book, 1 x Airfix Quickbuild New Routemaster bus, 1 x Gibsons Games 1000 piece Tube puzzle, and 1 x Rex London notebook set, lunchbox, washbag, kids bottle and adult's thermal bottle.

The winners will be the entrants who in the sole opinion of the judges submits the best comment and complete all the entry requirements stated within the post copy.

Your entry must be your own work, must not be copied, must not have been published before in any other publication (or on any website), must not contain any third-party materials and/or content that you do not have permission to use, must not promote your own or third party goods or services or include any trade marks and must not promote inappropriate or dangerous behaviour, or otherwise be obscene, defamatory, distasteful, offensive or in breach of any applicable law or regulation. If we have reason to believe your entry is not your own work or otherwise breaches this paragraph, then we may not consider it and may disqualify it.

You will own the copyright to your entry. By submitting an entry to the Competition, you give Transport for London permission for your entry to be used Transport for London and you grant Transport for London a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use and publish your entry.

The winners will be notified by Monday 20 May 2024 and must respond within 24 hours otherwise another winner will be picked.

The winners will be required to supply a postal address within the UK where prizes will be sent within 28 days of the Closing Date.

The names of winners will be made available if requested by 56 days after the Closing Date.

Winners may be invited to take part in promotional activities.

The judges' decision is final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.

The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prizes with a prize of equivalent or higher value in
the event of circumstances outside of its control. There is no cash alternative to prizes.

Entry into the Competition implies acceptance of these terms and conditions. Transport for London
reserves the right to refuse to award prizes to anyone found to be in breach of these terms and
conditions.

These terms and conditions are governed by English Law and shall be subject to the exclusive
jurisdiction of the English Courts.

Data Protection Statement

Transport for London (TfL), its subsidiaries and service providers, will use your personal information
for the purposes of administering this competition, informing you if you have won and if so, issuing
your prize. Your information will be properly safeguarded and processed in accordance with the

Terms and conditions

  • No purchase is necessary for participation in this free prize draw
  • Entries to the free prize draw should be made to metrocompetitions@tfl.gov.uk. Any entry made in any other format will be rejected. The Promoter shall not be responsible for late, lost or delayed entries or network, computer hardware or software failures of any kind that may delay or restrict entry into the prize draw
  • Only one entry per person
  • The free prize draw begins on the print date of the competition article ('the Opening Date') and runs until specified in the article ('the Closing Date')
  • The prizes for the free prize draw are as stated in the competition article. The winner(s) will be chosen at random no later than four weeks after the Closing Date
  • The winner(s) will be notified that they have won by email or phone within six weeks of the Closing Date
  • Prizes will be sent to winner(s) within eight weeks of the Closing Date
  • Winners may be asked to take part in promotional activities
  • The Promoter of the free prize draw is Transport for London of 55 Broadway, SW1H 0BD. The Promoter's decision is final and binding in all matters and no correspondence will be entered into
  • The Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prizes with a prize of equivalent or higher value in the event of circumstances outside of its control. There is no cash alternative
  • Entry into the prize draw implies acceptance of these terms and conditions. Transport for London reserves the right to refuse to award prizes to anyone found to be in breach of these terms and conditions.
